Story of An Artist
“The work of the hands brings forth the spirit of the heart.” These words have guided me and become my motto for all the glorious artistic adventures I have taken in my life. From oil painting to writing, needlework, porcelain portraiture and now sculpting, they have brought me true joy. I’ve been published, won several awards, I’ve have been featured in articles and promoted on television with my artwork. It really has been an exciting, fantastic, unbelievable journey.
I live in mid-America with my husband and two delightful Schnauzers. We have a small farm and living in nature like this is truly peaceful and enriching. The kids are grown and off on their own, so our time is ours now to explore new avenues and simply enjoy life.
When people look at my sculptures they often comment, “I can see the love you put into this piece.” Really, what more could we ask? This act of sculpting, taking some wire and clay and shaping it into something believable is—well, magic. It is the most challenging and delightful art form I have ever experienced. It is this very passion that I hope transcends through my art and shines back to you when you view them. That makes my ‘job’ complete.
I invite you to explore my website and spend some time viewing my creations. May they touch your heart and bring a smile to your face. If you would like more information or just want to chat, I’d love to hear from you. I can be reached via email at: Kim.McCool.Art@gmail.com"
